Condensate purification systems
The oil separator is intended to separate condensate into two fractions: water and oil. The condensate (water and oil mixture) is pulverized in a special chamber under the impact of compressed air and then it drains into a tank, where separation occurs due to the difference in oil and water density. Oil floats and flows into the outer can. Water is additionally purified with activated carbon and may be released to the drain.
The separated oil is drained to a separate tank (can). The oil is utilized as soon as the can is filled – this depends upon the compressor operation and temperature modes, which influence upon carryover of oil from compressor with compressed air.
